Which ring does the job, the size to order, and the gold and diamond that suit her hand
Decide what the ring is for before you look at stones. An engagement ring is built around one center stone, and a band is worn beside it or alone. Have a ring from her finger measured before you order, since a resized ring is final sale. Take 14K gold for a ring she never takes off. Lab-grown and mined diamonds are graded on the same scale.

Your screen becomes the sizer. On most phones it is already true size, and a quarter lets you check. Then measure the finger you will wear the ring on, with a ring that already fits that finger or with a strip of paper.
Lay a quarter flat on the screen, over the coin, and move the slider until the coin on the screen is exactly the size of yours. No quarter? Then the circle and the ruler are not to scale: measure your paper strip with a real ruler and set that number in millimeters on the strip slider, then send it to the desk.
Take a ring that fits the same finger of the same hand the new ring will live on; every finger is its own size. Set it on the screen over the circle and move the slider until the circle just fills the inside of the ring.

Wrap a strip of paper snug around the base of the finger, where the ring sits, and mark where it meets. If your knuckle is bigger, wrap it there too and take a size between the two, nearer the knuckle. Lay the strip along the ruler's right edge from the 0. Move the slider until the gold line sits on your mark.

Size 7 sold most here, about one sized ring in five. Quietly borrow one she wears on that finger and have a jeweler or the sizer on this page read it, or ask a friend. Where the setting allows, we resize later, and then it is final.
Her choice. Lab-grown and natural diamonds of the same grade look the same; a natural diamond costs more. We don't sell diamonds as an investment, and resale value isn't guaranteed for either. Ask us when a listing names neither.
14K is best for daily wear. It is the harder gold, so the prongs hold, and most rings sold here were 14K. 18K gives a richer yellow but marks sooner. Platinum stays white without plating and weighs noticeably more on the finger.

Often, but it depends on the setting, so ask us before you order. A plain shank moves the most. An eternity band or a channel-set band cannot be resized at all, and any ring once resized is final sale.
Choose an eternity band when her size is certain and she wants diamonds all the way round. Choose a wedding band when the size may change, because it keeps bare metal a jeweler can cut. The wedding bands here are among the lightest rings.
White gold is the one that needs care. Its rhodium coat wears thin in a year or two and gets renewed, while yellow and rose keep their own color. Most listings offer all three, so match the gold she already wears.
