The work: custom chain, made to order chain, chain commission, diamond lock, hidden lock

A custom chain here is one of two jobs, a chain built to your spec or a lock that turns the clasp into the piece. A commission runs on the desk's steps: send reference photos and your spec, pay the deposit for the 3D design, look over the renderings and ask for up to three alterations, then pay the balance before the chain is made. The desk handles each project personally. Every listing shows as buyable, so ask the desk whether the chain you like is ready or will be made for you.

A Miami Cuban is the heavy statement, and the widest here is a 32 mm showpiece. A rosary hangs long, most of them 30 inches or more. A tennis chain is a thin line of stones about 3 mm across. The skull link is cast as sculpture, in gold and in silver. The rest come one or two apiece, a cable link with a hidden lock and a Franco-cut pineapple chain among them. Metal and stones: custom 14k gold chain, 10k gold, silver skull chain, lab grown or natural diamond chain

Start with 14K, the gold most chains here are made in. The rosaries run mostly 10K, which holds less gold. Most listings let you pick yellow, rose or white gold, but the description often shows one color, so ask which colors are really built.

Trust only what a listing prints about its diamonds. Fifteen say natural on the origin line. Three others say lab-grown. On a commission, name the one you want. Every diamond chain here prints a diamond weight in its details, and the desk confirms the figure.

Width, weight and length: heavy gold chain, thick chain, grams, 22 or 24 inch chain

Choose the width first, because the grams follow it. Of the chains that print a width, more than half are between 5 and 10 mm. The middle one weighs about 100 grams, and on a stone-set chain the grams carry the stones and the lock. Eight listings say solid and none says hollow, so ask about the rest.

Take 22 or 24 inches for a chain worn alone. Those two sold most across the store. We extend or shorten any chain and the desk quotes the charge, but a chain cut or lengthened for you is final.

Settle the deposit with the desk before you pay anything. Name your date with the spec, and the desk gives its timing with the 3D design. Payments toward custom work are not refundable under the refund policy. A chain bought off the wall may be returned for fourteen calendar days once it is delivered, if it is unworn and unaltered, but only after the desk clears it and only on our insured label; a length made to order is final.
