What size gold hoop earrings should I buy?
Buy 15 mm for a first pair you can wear every day and sleep in. It is the pair bought most, by a long way. Go to 25 or 30 mm for a hoop that shows. From 40 mm up, save it for evenings.
Are these gold earrings solid gold?
Every piece is real karat gold, 14K on all but one 18K pair, and no listing says plated or filled. A light, wide hoop may be a hollow tube, still gold but easier to dent, so ask us which you have.
Can I sleep and shower in gold earrings?
Yes, in a small hoop or the knot. Water from the shower does karat gold no harm, and it will not rust. Take the big hoops off for bed so they do not snag, and keep all gold out of chlorine pools and hot tubs.

Why does one 30 mm gold hoop weigh more than another?
It holds more gold, in a thicker tube or a solid one. Our two 30 mm hoops match in size, yet the heavier carries far more gold. The heavier keeps its round and takes a knock better, so compare the grams before you choose.
Is 14K or 18K better for gold earrings?
14K is the better pick for earrings worn daily. It is harder, so a hoop holds its round and a post does not bend. 18K has a deeper yellow and bends more easily. Our one 18K pair is the ribbon.
Do these earrings come in white or rose gold?
A few do. The bow, the ribbon and the heavy 20 mm piece each offer yellow, white and rose, and one hoop is two-tone. Every other piece is yellow only. For sensitive ears, yellow is the kinder gold, since some white gold holds nickel.
How do these gold hoops close?
