Her size first, then full or half, the size of each stone, the stones and the metal
Know her ring size before you look at a single stone. Most rings here come in one size only, and a band with stones the whole way around usually cannot be cut to a new size, so it stays at the size it was made. Find hers on the listing, or ask us whether that ring can be made in her size. Then pick lab-grown or natural diamonds, in 14K gold.

Size 6: 16.5 mm across, 51.9 mm around. 38 of the 70 rings here list size 6.
Between two sizes? Take the one that passes the knuckle and sits snug below it. A wide band, 8 mm and up, fits tighter, so go up a half size. Measure at the end of the day, at room temperature.

A screen measurement checked with a quarter is a guide, good to about a half size; the desk sizes you right the first time. "Rings here listing it" counts the live listings.
Her size: eternity ring sizes, one-size rings and resizing
Start with the finger, not the stones. Most of these rings come in a single size, often 6, and the size you order is the size she keeps. Planning a surprise? Lay a ring she wears on that finger over the sizer on this page. If her size is missing, ask the desk first: a resized ring, or one made to her size, is final sale.
Full or half: full eternity ring or semi-eternity band
Nearly every ring here is a full circle, the right pick when her size is settled and she wants stones on every side. A few bands stop at half or three quarters of the circle, over plain gold that rests flatter between her fingers. More full and half eternity bands, listed as wedding bands, are on our women's wedding rings page, and the women's diamond rings guide covers every other kind.
Pointers and carats: what 10 pointer means on an eternity ring, and carat total weight
The pointer names the weight of one stone, and the carat total counts every stone around the band. Our pointer rows run from 6 to 30 points a stone, and bigger stones make a wider, taller band. A 10 pointer row sits low for everyday wear. Save the 30 pointers for a ring meant to be noticed.
Stones: lab-grown or natural diamonds, emerald cut and sapphire eternity rings
Lab-grown or natural is her call. Lab-grown and natural diamonds of the same grade look the same; a natural diamond costs more. We don't sell diamonds as an investment, and resale value isn't guaranteed for either. Every diamond ring names its origin on the listing, lab-grown on 27 and natural on 39, and where a listing prints grades, most read E to G color and VS clarity or better. Emerald cuts throw long, slow flashes rather than fine sparkle. The sapphire bands and the emerald and opal band also sit in our women's gemstone rings.
Gold or platinum: 14K, 18K or platinum eternity band, worn with an engagement ring
Choose 14K for a band she never takes off. 18K looks warmer and shows wear sooner, and platinum stays white where white gold needs replating. Each listing gives its grams, and most offer yellow, white or rose gold. Beside an engagement ring, leave a sliver of gold between the two rows of stones, since stone against stone wears the prongs; the wedding ring finger guide shows which goes on first.
Questions we get in the store
Can an eternity band be resized?
Usually not by much: stones the whole way around leave little plain gold to cut, so order the size she wears now. A half or three-quarter band keeps gold at the back and sizes more easily. Ask the desk first; a resized band is final sale.
What is the difference between a full and a half eternity ring?
A full eternity ring has stones the whole way around, while a half, or semi-eternity, ring sets them across the top only. The half leaves plain gold under the finger, so it sits flatter beside other rings.
What does 10 pointer mean on an eternity ring?
It means each diamond weighs ten points, a tenth of a carat. A carat has 100 points, so the number names one stone, never the total. At ten points a stone, our 18K ten-pointer ring comes to about two carats around the band.
More questions we get
Lab-grown or natural diamonds for an eternity ring?
Either, and each listing names which. Lab-grown and natural diamonds of the same grade look the same; a natural diamond costs more. We don't sell diamonds as an investment, and resale value isn't guaranteed for either.
Which metal is best for an eternity ring worn every day?
14K gold is best for every day, because it is harder than 18K and holds a full circle of prongs tight. Platinum stays white without plating and is the heavier metal on the hand.
How do I wear an eternity ring with an engagement ring?
Worn as her wedding band, it goes on first, closest to the palm, under the engagement ring. Given later for an anniversary, it goes above both or on her right hand. A few rings here are engagement rings with stones all around the band.
Are there sapphire or colored eternity rings here?
Yes. The sapphire bands come in blue, pink, red and rainbow shades, and one band alternates green emeralds with opals. Most come in a run of sizes, and our women's gemstone rings carry the same set.
Can I return an eternity ring?
Ready-made, yes, within fourteen calendar days of delivery, unworn and unaltered. Clear it with customer service first (service@traxnyc.com, 212-391-3832); it ships only on our return label. The 5 percent restocking fee and the return shipping come off the refund. Made-to-order, resized or changed rings are final.
