You have the karat, so start with what the chain has to do. For a pendant, take a solid rope or Franco of 2 to 4 mm. When the chain should stand on its own, reach for a Miami Cuban. Buy solid for every day, since a hollow link can dent. Judge the gold by the grams on the listing, and take 22 inches if you are unsure.

Yes. 14K is 14 parts gold in 24, or 58.3 percent, alloyed so it wears harder than pure gold. Each chain here is listed as 14K, nearly all say solid or hollow, and no title says plated or filled.
Solid or hollow 14K gold chain: which should I buy?
Solid, for a chain you wear daily or hang a pendant on. At one width a hollow Cuban here holds about a third of the gold of a solid one. Hollow is easier on the neck, but a knock can crush it.
What length 14K gold chain should I get?
Take 22 inches if you are unsure, the length chosen most here. Francos went out at 20 most often. Wider chains sold at 24 about as often as at 22.

14K vs 18K gold chain: which is better for every day?
14K, if the chain is worn daily. It is harder than 18K, so thin links keep their shape and polish. 18K holds 75 percent gold and a richer yellow, but it scratches sooner. 10K is paler and harder again.
Will a 14K gold chain tarnish or turn my skin green?
Rarely. The gold itself does not tarnish, though the copper and silver in the alloy can dull under sweat, lotion or pool water. Warm water, a drop of dish soap and a soft brush bring the shine back.
Which 14K gold chain holds a pendant best?
A solid rope or Franco of 2 to 4 mm carries most pendants. The Franco keeps a bail steady, and the rope looks the same from every side. For a heavy pendant, go to 4 mm or wider and stay solid.
Can I return a 14K gold chain, or have it shortened?
