Gold and diamond earrings for men, most in 14K gold. What sells most here: the flower diamond earrings in 14K and 10K gold, the 10K gold cube earrings, and in 14K gold the diamond studs, the round-cut studs listed as lab-grown, the cushion-cut earrings and the cluster earrings. Most are prong-set. Also on the page: sapphire, black diamond, cross and 18K gold diamond earrings, and some are sold as a single earring, so one ear or both is your call.

Buyer's guide

How to buy men's diamond earrings

Kind, size, diamonds, karat, backs and weight for a man's earring, drawn from this page's live listings and a year of its sales

This page holds 298 men's earring listings: diamond studs first by money, flower and cluster pieces, crosses, cubes and pillows, and singles sold one at a time. About four in five are 14K, more than four in five carry diamonds, and most carry the Womens tag too.

What to settle before a pair leaves the case: which kind, what width, lab-grown or natural and what the pair's carat means, which karat and color, screw back or push back, what a pair weighs, and buying from the desk. Every count below is from the 298 listings live here on September 22, 2026 and what this page sold in the year to that day; prices are on the listings.

Kinds: diamond studs, flower and cluster earrings, black diamond, crosses, cubes and singles

Studs first: about one listing in four here is a stud, and studs took nearly half the money in the year; flowers sold most by the piece. A stud sits flat on the lobe on a straight post, most often one stone, though titles here name halo and cluster studs too. A flower spreads small stones in a flower shape; flowers are about two in seven of the page, more than half with a colored stone, nearly always sapphire, most with diamonds; the best-selling earring here in the year is a diamond flower pair. A cluster groups small stones without the petal shape; few by title, though nearly half the page carries the Cluster tag, so that collection is wide. A cross is cross-shaped, a cube or pillow is named for its shape, and a single is one earring sold alone. Baguette pairs and halo studs, a few titles each, fill the rest. Black diamond is a stone, not a kind: an opaque diamond with a polished shine and none of a white diamond's fire; here it sits in studs first, in a few clusters and never in a flower, about one listing in twelve, and whether the black is the stone's own color or a treatment, ask the desk. Nearly three in ten titles name no kind, most of them diamond; the photo says what they are. No title here says hoop or huggie, though the page's description names them; ask the desk. No kind filter; the table names each kind's collection.

Size: what size earring a man should wear, in millimeters and carats

Five to 7 mm across reads as everyday on a man; 8 mm and up is meant to be seen. Width across the lobe is the number to shop by; about three in ten listings state it; the table carries each kind's median. On a round stud, carat and width move together: a 1 ctw pair is about 5.2 mm a stone, 2 ctw about 6.5 mm, 4 ctw about 8.2 mm, so the everyday stud is 1 to 2 ctw and the bold one starts near 4. A flower or a cluster spreads small stones and reads larger than its carat. No size filter: shop by the stated width; where a listing gives only a carat, the ladder above gives a round stud's width; where neither, ask the desk.

Diamonds: lab-grown or natural, and total carat weight for the pair

Both are diamond: lab-grown puts the larger stone on the ear for the money, natural is the rarer; lab pairs here run a median 2.00 ctw, natural 0.70. Fewer than one in four listings state an origin, two in three of those lab-grown, always on the listing; the Origin filter reads only the center-stone line, which most earrings leave empty, so it lists 19 where 70 state one; where a listing says neither, ask the desk.

The carat is the pair: total carat weight, ctw, adds both earrings, so a 2 ctw pair is about one carat a stone. Stated totals here run a median 1.33 ctw. In the year lab pairs took nearly three times the money natural did, and lab-grown studs of 2 ctw and up are most of the stud money. Color, clarity and cut are stated on fewer than one pair in five, mostly D to G and VS or better. Those are high letters for a stud: across a table an eye-clean SI1 or VS2 in G or H reads like the grades above it, so put the money in width and cut first; where a listing says SI or names no grade, ask the desk what shows. The letters: the four Cs article.

Metal: 14K, 18K or 10K gold earrings for men, in white, yellow or rose

14K: about four in five listings here, about three in four of the money in the year, and it holds a post well. 18K is about one in seven here and about one in eight of the money: more gold, a richer yellow, the softer metal. 10K, the hardest and palest, is a small share here yet second by the piece in the year. A few pairs are .925 silver or platinum. Asked which, we say 14K: the classic look that wears for years. The Metal Color filter above the grid narrows to white, yellow or rose; nearly every pair offers a color choice, about four in five all three, picked on the listing. White gold wears a rhodium coat that thins with wear and is renewed at a bench; yellow and rose need none; re-plating here, ask the desk. White gold is whitened with nickel or palladium, and nickel is what a sensitive ear reacts to once the coat thins; for a sensitive ear, ask what a white pair here is alloyed with, or take yellow or rose.

Backs and singles: screw back or push back, and buying one earring

Screw back for a man: it threads onto the post and stays put through a shirt over the head or a set at the gym. A push back, the butterfly, slides on and is quicker to wear; its grip eases with the years, so check it. No title names its back: the back a pair carries is on the listing or a desk question, as is a swap and its charge. Some men wear one and some wear two; a single is one earring, a pair is two, and the grams and the carat on a listing cover what it sells: a 2 ctw stud pair is two 1-carat stones, a 2 ctw single one 2-carat stone. About one title in fifteen says single; the single earrings collection gathers them. To wear one of a pair, ask the desk whether it splits and what one comes to.

Weight: what a pair of men's gold earrings weighs

The median listing here weighs 2.3 grams, the pair or the single as it is sold. Nearly all listings print the weight: just over half sit between 2 and 4 grams, about a third under 2, about one in nine at 4 or more. A 14K stud pair, the least gold, runs about 1.5 grams; a flower, more metal around more stones, about double; a cube or pillow nearly triple; the table has each kind.

Buying and returns: the fourteen-day return, made to order, the desk and shipping

Fourteen calendar days from confirmed delivery to return a pair bought as listed, less a five percent restocking fee, if it comes back new, unworn and unaltered. A pair made for you is final, and so is one whose back or stone the bench changed. By the refund policy, the desk approves the return first, the pair goes back on the store's insured label, not one of yours, its cost off the refund. This counter has been selling on 47th Street since 2004. Take a pair as listed, or have it made in your metal and stones at our own bench. Live chat or 212-872-9692 reaches a personal jeweler. Ask the desk what this page cannot say: a lab pair made in natural, lead time on made-to-order work, a grading report, and whether a pair is in the case today. In stock, a pair usually goes out inside two to five business days, insured (shipping policy). Pay over time at the checkout: Shop Pay installments, Affirm, Afterpay or Acima.

A title count takes one kind word per title over the 298 listings live on September 22, 2026, a design word like cross, flower or cluster before stud, stud before single and single before a motif like skull, so a single cross counts as a cross, a stud flower as a flower and a single stud as a stud, and each is an approximate count; the tag and collection figures beside it are the store's own lists under their own rules; the karat cell counts each kind's titles by title and metal line, 14K first and the rest after it, as in the last row; the weight is the median 14K gram figure for the pair, or for the single, as the listing sells it; the width is the median where that kind's listings state one; each Where to look figure is that collection's own live count on September 22, 2026; and the seven kind rows hold 286 of the 298, the twelve with no row being baguette 4, halo studs 4, clover 2, skull 1 and star 1. What each kind sold: this page's titles among the store's best-selling earring titles in the year to September 22, 2026, 168 titles and 2,435 pieces, which took 76 percent of the money those best-selling titles made; every share here is a share of this page's part of it. Questions we get at the counter

Screw back or push back for men's earrings?

Screw back for a pair that stays in: it threads onto the post and holds through a shirt over the head or a session at the gym. Push back, the butterfly, for a pair you swap often: it slides on and is quicker to wear, and its grip eases with the years. No title on this page names the back, so read the listing; where it is silent, text the desk, and ask about a swap and its charge at the same time.

What size diamond stud should a man wear?

Five to 7 mm across for every day; 8 mm and up when the earring is meant to be seen. Width is what the eye reads, and on round stones it tracks the carat of the pair: about 5.2 mm a stone at 1 ctw, 6.5 mm at 2 ctw, 8.2 mm at 4 ctw. The studs here that state a width run a median 6 mm. There is no size filter; where the listing states no width, ask the desk.

Lab-grown or natural diamond studs?

Lab-grown for the larger stone at the same money, natural for the rarer stone; both are diamond, and lab pairs here state a median 2.00 ctw to natural's 0.70. The difference is where the crystal grew. In the year lab took nearly three times the money natural did on this page. The origin is on the listing itself; the Origin filter lists 19 earrings where 70 listings state one, and where a listing names neither, ask the desk.

Can I buy just one earring?

Yes: nineteen titles here say single, and this page ships one earring or the pair. A listing sold as a single is one earring, and its grams and its carat are for that one; a pair is two, and its figures cover both. Some men wear one and some wear two. The men's single earrings collection gathers the singles. For a design listed only as a pair, ask the desk whether it can be split and what one comes to; that is the desk's call.

14K or 18K gold earrings for men?

Real gold either way, and 14K for most. All but three of the 298 name the karat on the metal line or in the title, and no earring title or tag says plated, filled, vermeil or bonded. 14K, about four in five pairs here, holds a post well through years of backs on and off; 18K, about one in seven, carries more gold and a richer yellow, softer. 14K took about three in four of this page's money in the year; karat in full: the chains page.

How many carats is a pair of diamond studs?

A median 1.33 ctw for the pair over every listing here stating a total: ctw adds both earrings, so a 2 ctw pair is about one carat an ear. Fewer than one in four listings state a total; lab pairs run about 2.00, natural about 0.70. Among pairs stating a total, 2 ctw and up took more of the money in the year than pairs under 2, and lab-grown studs of 2 ctw and up were most of the stud money.

Can a man train, swim, shower or sleep in these, and how are they cleaned?

Gym, shower and sleep are fine in a screw back; the pool is off for any back, and cleaning is warm water, dish soap and a soft brush. A push back comes out for the gym, where a bar or a towel can catch it, and for bed, where sheets pull at it. Chlorine dulls the alloy, not the gold itself. Clean with a drop of dish soap, then a dry cloth, and check the grip and the thread now and then.

Are these earrings for men only?

No: more than three in four listings here carry the Womens tag as well, and the earring itself has no gender. This is the men's page, and most of what is on it sits on the women's pages too; the flower and cluster pieces in particular are worn by men and women alike. The kinds and widths above are read for a man. Pick by width and back, not by the tag.

ABOUT THIS COLLECTION

Diamond studs, flower and cluster earrings for men, most in 14K gold

Shop men's earrings by family: gold and diamond earrings, stud earrings, cluster earrings, sapphire and gemstone earrings, cube and pillow earrings, baguette earrings, cross earrings, single earrings and hip-hop earrings. Nearly every listing names its karat: most are 14K, then 18K, then 10K, and a few pieces are sterling silver.

Gram weight is on most listings. Where a listing states the width in millimeters it runs 3 to 17 mm; where it states the total diamond weight, 0.10 to 10 carats. The gold is priced by grams, karat and the day's gold price.

TraxNYC has been on 47th St in New York's Diamond District since 2004. See them in the showroom or call 212-872-9692 with the listing number. Buyers' own words are on the reviews page. To match them to a chain: men's gold chains.
