Start with the flower face. It is what sold here most, and it reads as one bright stone on the lobe. Keep it small, under 10 mm across, the size of nearly every pair sold. Take diamonds in 14K yellow gold unless your chain is white. No listing names its back, and some print no diamond carat in their details, so ask the live chat for both before you pay, or after 10 AM ET text the desk at 212-872-9692.
The cluster: what a cluster earring is, flower, round and upside down
A cluster earring sets small stones tight together in one head, so the lobe shows one bigger face. Most here are flowers, petals of small stones around a center, and the flower took six pieces in ten of what sold. A cluster by name is plainer, a tight bed of small diamonds with no petals, and it sold about one piece in seven. On the six upside down pairs, ask us what the name means.
Stones: diamond or sapphire cluster earrings, lab-grown or natural
Take diamonds unless you came for color. Nearly every piece sold here carried diamonds. Sapphire is the second stone here, mostly in flowers with diamonds beside it, and it sold far less. Some sapphire flowers carry no diamond, so read the title before you tap.
Where a listing names the origin, natural outsold lab-grown by about eighteen to one. Only ten diamond pairs name neither, so ask us about those. Most diamond pairs print a diamond weight in their details, 107 of 119. A points figure in a title may be one stone or the pair, so get the total from the desk.
Size and weight: how big a men's cluster earring is in mm and grams
Buy small. The best sellers all sit at 10 mm across or under. The leader is a flower 5 mm across, and it is over a third of the pieces sold here. Where a width is printed, the middle listing is 9 mm. Two listings in three print no width, so ask, and ask whether it is the face or the whole earring.
Expect 2 to 4 grams as listed. Nearly all that sold weigh under 3 grams, and the heavy ones barely moved. Ask whether the grams are the pair or one earring.
Metal: which gold for men's cluster earrings, 14K, 18K or 10K, and which color
Wear 14K day to day. It holds most of the listings and most of the sales. 18K is a smaller group with a deeper yellow, and most 18K pairs skip rose. Six pairs in ten went out yellow. White took about a third, and rose barely sold. Match the gold to the chain you wear most. No listing says how the white gold is finished, so ask the desk if metal bothers your ears.
Backs and buying: screw back or push back, the pair, returns and the desk
Ask which back closes the pair before you pay. No listing names a screw back or a push back, and a swap is a desk question. Every listing sells the pair, never one earring. Wear one if you like and keep the other as your spare. Every pair shows as buyable, so ask the desk for the timing on yours.
An unworn, unaltered pair can go back within fourteen calendar days, with the desk's okay, on our return label. The refund drops five percent restocking and return shipping (refund policy). Made-to-order pairs are final. Before you pay, send the item number to the live chat, or after 10 AM ET text it to 212-872-9692.
