Description

A row of oval lab-grown diamonds set side by side along a slim 14K gold band, 0.60 carats in all. Each oval stands upright in its own pair of small round prongs, so the stones sit close together and catch light from every side. The band is thin and smooth, which keeps the look light and lets it sit easily beside an engagement ring or on its own.

The details. The ring is 14K gold, which is 58.5 percent pure gold, and it is offered in yellow, white or rose. The diamonds are lab-grown ovals with a total weight of 0.60 carats. E/F color is near the top of the color scale, and VVS/VS clarity means any inclusions are very small and hard to see without magnification. It is a prong setting on a 1.60 mm band, and the whole ring weighs 1.30 grams.

Size and fit. Ring sizes 4 through 9 are offered, half sizes included.

Care. Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush worked between the stones keep it bright. Keep the ring away from chlorine and harsh cleaners, and store it apart from other pieces so the diamonds do not scratch them. Lab-grown diamonds take the same care as natural ones, and it is worth checking now and then that the prongs still hold tight.
