Do men wear them: men's engagement rings and engagement rings for men, and what sells
Yes. The 22 rings on this page sold 36 in the year to September 26, 2026. Every one is set with diamonds: 21 in gold and one in .925 silver.
The Fortress ring carried the year with 26 of the 36, a silver ring with lab-grown diamonds and a 0.85-carat center. Next came the 14K Asscher solitaire signet with 3. The Majesty, the God Father, the black diamond Tuxedo, two three-row diamond bands, a channel-set band and a single-diamond band sold one each.
Three are signet rings with a diamond set in the face: a round and an Asscher solitaire signet, and an Asscher halo signet of 21.2 grams. All three carry a lab-grown center.
Ring or band: men's engagement ring vs wedding band, and one ring for both
The difference is the center stone. Ten rings here print the carat of a center diamond, from 0.75 to 10.02 carats, and seven more carry Solitaire or Solitary in the name. A wedding band sets its diamonds into the band itself: three rows on two of ours, a flush channel on one and a single bezel-set diamond on two.
Most also carry more metal. The five bands weigh 5 to 7.2 grams. The other 17 run from 5.7 to 36.2 grams and weigh 13 in the middle, about twice a band.
One ring can be both. All five bands are also on our men's wedding bands page, from the three-row bands to the single diamond. If he will wear two rings, custom puts the band on first, nearest the hand, with the engagement ring above it. Keep both in one metal and karat, since rings worn side by side rub against each other. For her band as well, see his and hers wedding bands.
Which finger: which hand a man wears an engagement ring on, and his ring size
The ring finger, the fourth counting the thumb. In the United States that means the left hand, where most men also wear the wedding band. Germany, Austria, Norway, Poland, Russia, Ukraine and Greece put the band on the right hand. Customs differ by faith and family, so the hand his family keeps is the right one; the whole map is in the wedding ring finger.
Size that finger on that hand, since the two hands can run about a half size apart. Measure at the end of the day and make sure the ring will pass the knuckle. A wide band sits tighter, so go about a half size up. Three in four men who chose their own ring-finger size from us wear a 9 to 11. Ten rings here offer every size from 9 to 11, halves included; sizes on the page run from 5 to 14.5, and four rings come in one size only, a 9.5 or a 10.
The paper-strip steps and the chart are in our men's ring size guide and ring size chart. Settle the size before you order: a resized ring is final sale.
The stone and the gold: lab-grown or natural diamond, 14K gold or silver
Every listing here says where its diamonds come from. Eight rings carry lab-grown diamonds and the other 14 carry natural ones only, and the lab-grown rings took 31 of the 36 sold. The two God Father rings mix the two: a lab-grown center of 3.54 or 4 carats among natural side diamonds, and one adds ruby. How the two kinds differ is in lab-grown or natural diamonds.
Eight listings print the center's cut: 5 round, 1 trillion, and the two signets titled Asscher. One Tuxedo ring carries a black diamond.
The gold is 14K on 19 of the 22, 18K on one and 10K on the Majesty; the Fortress ring is .925 silver. Nineteen let you pick yellow, white or rose gold, and one Timepiece ring is two-tone. Every gold ring we ship within the US carries our official appraisal, with its gram and carat weights; orders sent abroad get the appraisal digitally. More stones and styles are on men's diamond rings, men's gold rings and men's silver rings.
Custom: a custom men's engagement ring, and how long one takes
Two listings here are custom builds by name: a 14K ring of 26.25 grams with a 1.5-carat natural center, and an 18K ring with a 0.75-carat center. For a ring no listing shows, bring the desk your idea: the center's shape and carat, lab-grown or natural, the gold and his size, in the live chat or at 212-872-9692 from 10 AM ET. Our other custom ring designs are on custom rings.
Rings made to order take longer. Every listing here gives 10 to 15 business days for production, and under our terms making a piece may run 2 to 3 weeks. From stock, a ring normally goes out in 2 to 5 business days, so ask the desk which yours will be.
A ring made to your design, made to order or resized for you is final sale under our refund policy. Bought from stock and still unworn, a ring may be returned inside 14 days of delivery on our insured label, unless its listing reads non-returnable; 5 percent goes to restocking and the return postage is yours.
