Description

Two diamond wings rise from a 10K gold band, set with lab-grown marquise and pear diamonds, 3.15 carats in all. The wings are layered in rows like feathers and stop just short of each other on top of the finger, leaving a narrow open gap. It is a statement ring that runs along the finger, so it fills the space from knuckle to joint.

The details. The ring is 10K gold, which is 41.7 percent pure gold, and it is offered in yellow, white or rose. The diamonds are lab-grown, in marquise and pear cuts, with a total weight of 3.15 carats. E/F color sits near the top of the color scale, and VVS/VS clarity means any inclusions are very small and hard to see without magnification. Every stone is held in a prong setting, and the whole ring weighs 6.40 grams.

Size and fit. Ring sizes 5 through 10 are offered, half sizes included.

Care. Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush worked gently between the wings keep the diamonds bright. Keep the ring away from chlorine and harsh cleaners, and store it apart from other pieces so the diamonds do not scratch them.
