ABOUT THIS COLLECTION

Two-Tone Rolex: Steel and Gold Datejust, Submariner and GMT-Master II

Two-tone means steel and 18K gold in one watch, usually gold on the bezel, the crown and the center links of the bracelet. Rolex calls it Rolesor. Most two-tone watches here are Datejusts, from the 26 mm Lady-Datejust to the 41 mm; the rest are the Submariner, the GMT-Master II and the Sky-Dweller. Yellow gold leads, with Everose rose gold on some. Every watch is pre-owned, from 1980s references to recent years.

Pick the size first: 26 and 31 mm sit small on the wrist, 36 mm is the classic Datejust size, and 40 to 42 mm wears large, the modern men's size. Then the bracelet: most here are on the Jubilee, the rest mostly on the Oyster. Read each listing for the reference, the year and whether the card or papers come with it. Watches are final sale, so ask for a video first; buying a pre-owned Rolex shows how to read a listing.
