About this item
- Real 14K Gold all the way through. 14 karat is 58.5% pure gold mixed with harder metals, the everyday standard for fine jewelry; nothing is plated, so nothing wears off. A certified appraisal comes in the box.
- A continuous line of prong-set diamonds. A diamond tennis chain wraps the neck in an unbroken line of stones for pure brilliance.
- 25.8 grams at 18 inches. The final weight may vary slightly. Look for a hidden box clasp with a safety latch on any diamond tennis chain.
- 4.5 mm wide. Wear it on its own or with a pendant; text a jeweler a photo of the pendant and they will say straight whether this chain carries it.
- 28.70ct of diamonds, prong setting. The appraisal in the box lists the carat weight, grade and color.
- Three lengths: 18, 20 and 22 inches. The length guide photo in the gallery (picture 8) shows where a tennis chain sits; text a jeweler at 212-872-9692.
- Listed for men and women. Sold and shipped by TraxNYC, 64 W 47th St, New York, in business since 2004. Secondhand Dealer License 2123575-DCWP.

Description
A tennis chain of 30 pointers: 30 points is jeweler's shorthand for three tenths of a carat, and that is the size of each lab-grown diamond set one after another in 14K gold. At the 18 inch length that adds up to 28.70 carats of round diamonds, E-F color and VS clarity, in a line 4.50 mm wide.
The details. The diamonds are round and lab-grown, E-F in color, close to the top of the scale, and VS in clarity, so every stone in the line falls in the same high grade range, each one prong set in 14K gold. The chain is 4.50 mm wide; at 18 inches it carries 28.70 carats and weighs 25.75 grams.
Size and fit. Lengths are 18, 20 and 22 inches, in yellow, rose or white gold. 18 inches sits at the collarbone; 20 and 22 fall just below it. The longer lengths add stones, carats and weight. Like any tennis chain it can turn on the neck; a quick straighten in the mirror fixes it.
Care. Clean it with warm water, mild soap and a soft brush under the stones, where lotion collects; lab-grown diamonds take the same care as natural ones. Keep it from chlorine and harsh cleaners, lay it flat on its own, and have the prongs checked from time to time.
Buying it. Orders in the US ship with a TraxNYC appraisal that records the gram weight, the carat weight and the diamond grade. At checkout you can add a warranty plan that covers manufacturing defects for 30, 180 or 365 days. Every package ships insured. A jeweler at our 47th Street counter can walk you through this piece by phone at 212-TRAXNYC (212-872-9692) during business hours.
