See your stud size on your ear
Set your screen once with a bank card and the stones below are drawn at their true size. Pick a size; to see it on you, hold the phone beside your ear in a mirror.
1. Set the screen with a card
Lay any bank, debit or ID card flat on the screen, standing tall, so its short edge runs across the box, and move the slider until the box is exactly as wide as the card. No bank card? A driver's license, metro card, gift card or hotel key is the same size.
Set on this device already; move it only if the box and your card differ.
2. Pick a size, carats a stone
A 1 carat round diamond measures about 6.5 mm across. 5 of the 32 stud pairs here that name a weight are 1 carat a stone, 2 ctw the pair. It is the most bought size here: 35 percent of the stud pairs sold here in the past year that name a weight.
Stud earrings are sold by ctw, the total weight of the pair: half of it sits on each ear, so a 2 ctw pair is two stones of 1 carat. The stones are drawn as round diamonds; at the same weight a princess or emerald cut looks a little smaller and an oval or pear a little longer.

The stones are drawn as round diamonds at the counter's rule of thumb for a well-cut round of that weight, not a listing's measurement. The pairs are the listings live here on September 26, 2026 that name a weight; the most bought size reads the stud pairs sold here in the year to September 25, 2026 that name a weight.
Questions we get at the counter
What size stud earrings should a man wear?
One carat a side, about 6.5 mm across, is the size bought most here. It is easy to see and still reads as a stud. For something quiet, go down to half a carat. Two carats a side gets noticed across a room.
Should a guy wear one stud or two?
Either one is right, and neither ear carries a meaning anymore. Wear one if you have one hole and two if you have two. Get the pair anyway, since the spare covers the day one goes missing.
Are silver stud earrings good for men?
Yes, as a first pair or a spare. The silver studs here are sterling with lab-grown diamonds, like most gold pairs sold. Silver is softer and dulls with wear, so polish it, and move to 14K for a stud you never remove.
More questions we get
Are these real diamonds?
Yes, where the title says diamond. Most studs sold here were lab-grown, which is real diamond made above ground and graded on the same scale as a mined one. A few titles say natural, and three studs carry a canary diamond or another gem.
Which back keeps a stud from falling out?
The screw back. Grooves on the post take a small nut, so a collar or a pillow cannot pull the stud off. Only two listings say screw back, so for any other pair ask us before you order.
Do halo studs look bigger than plain ones?
Yes. The ring of small diamonds around the center makes the stud read wider than the center stone alone. On a transform pair the halo comes off, so one pair gives you both looks.
Are these studs for men or for women?
Both. Every stud here sits in our men's case, and most sit in the women's case as well, since a round diamond suits any ear. The difference on a man is only size, since the same stone looks smaller on a larger lobe.
Can I return stud earrings?
Yes, for fourteen calendar days from delivery, if never worn or altered. Message the live chat or text 212-872-9692 first, then ship only on our insured label. Our refund policy withholds five percent for restocking, plus the label's cost. Custom work is final.
