Description

A red sapphire center ringed by natural diamond, 10mm across the flower head, prong-set in 14K gold. 1.26 carats of sapphire against 0.20 carats of white — a heavy tilt toward color, which is the right call on deep red because a wider diamond halo would fight the stone rather than frame it.

3.80 grams. Heavier than most pieces in this format, and the extra metal goes into the back of the setting where it keeps the flower from flexing.
