How to buy women's rings by size, metal, stone and style

Find your ring size in a minute
Your screen becomes the sizer. Set it with a bank card, then measure the finger you will wear the ring on, with a ring that already fits that finger or with a strip of paper.
1. Set the screen with a card
Lay any bank, debit or ID card flat on the screen, standing tall, so its short edge runs across the box, and move the slider until the box is exactly as wide as the card. No bank card? A driver's license, metro card, gift card or hotel key is the same size. Without any card the circle and the ruler are not to scale: measure your paper strip with a real ruler and set that number in millimeters on the strip slider, then send it to the desk.
2. Measure
Take a ring that fits the same finger of the same hand the new ring will live on; every finger is its own size. Set it on the screen over the circle and move the slider until the circle just fills the inside of the ring.
Size 7, 17.3 mm inside
Wrap a strip of paper snug around the base of the finger, where the ring sits, and mark where it meets. If your knuckle is bigger, wrap it there too and take a size between the two, nearer the knuckle. Lay the strip along the ruler's right edge from the 0. Move the slider until the gold line sits on your mark.
54.5 mm around is size 7
Size 7: 17.3 mm across, 54.4 mm around. It is the most bought size here: 19 percent of the women's rings sold here in the past year with a size recorded. 458 of the 561 rings here list size 7.
Between two sizes? Take the one that passes the knuckle and sits snug below it. A wide band, 8 mm and up, fits tighter, so go up a half size. Measure at the end of the day, at room temperature.

How do I find a woman's ring size when the ring is a surprise?
Borrow one of her rings from the finger you are buying for and match it to the circle on this page's sizer, or ask a friend who knows. Failing both, 7 sold most. We resize later where the ring allows, but that is final.
Are the diamonds in these women's rings lab grown or natural?
Both, and most buyers here chose lab-grown, which is real diamond on the same grading scale. Only six diamond listings do not say which they carry, so ask us about those.

Is 14K or 18K gold better for a ring worn every day?
14K is the better gold for every day. It is the harder alloy, so it stands up to knocks better, and most rings sold here were 14K. Choose 18K for its deeper yellow if she will treat it gently, since it marks sooner.
Can I get the same women's ring in white, yellow or rose gold?
Usually, yes, most listings let you pick among all three golds. The rings that come in a single color are mostly platinum or silver. No listing says how its white gold is finished, so ask us, above all if she reacts to nickel.
Do you have sapphire, ruby, emerald, opal or pearl rings for women?
