How big do these diamond studs look on the ear?

Read the width, which nearly every listing prints. For every day, 5 to 7 mm across shows clearly without shouting, about a 1 to 2 ctw round pair. Under 5 mm stays quiet, and from 8 mm up people notice.

Do diamond studs come with a certificate?

No listing here names a lab certificate, so ask the live chat which papers come with your pair before you pay. Most listings print a color and clarity grade, and the chat can say whether a lab report goes with the one you want.

What color and clarity are the diamonds?

Nearly every graded listing here sits between D and H in color, and most read VS clarity, then SI. On a stud, D to H all look white from across a table, so the size and the cut show more than the letter.

Is the carat weight for each ear or for both?

For both when the title says ctw, so a 2 ctw pair sets a carat in each ear. A title that says ct each or pointer names one stone, so the 1.50 ct each pair holds three carats in all.

Which back do the studs have?

The titles do not name it, so ask the live chat before you order. A screw back threads on and stays through sleep and sport. A push back is quicker to put on, and its grip loosens with years of wear.

Are these studs for men or for women?

Both. Most pairs here are made for men and women alike, and a round stud reads the same on any ear. To shop one side, open the women's studs or the men's studs.

Diamond stud earrings for women and men, most in 14K gold with 18K pairs and a few in .925 silver, in yellow, white and rose gold. Round studs lead, beside Portuguese, Asscher, princess, oval, emerald, radiant, heart and marquise cuts, halo and flower studs, black diamond studs and single studs for one ear. Lab-grown diamond pairs run from 0.20 to 10 carats total weight, and the natural classic studs name their color and clarity.

Diamond studs at a glance

Carats: ctw is the total for the pair, so a 2 ctw pair sets about 1 carat in each ear.
Size: a 1 carat round is about 6.5 mm across and a quarter carat about 4.1 mm, by IGI's widths; each listing that states a size gives it in millimeters.
Diamonds: lab-grown or natural, named on each listing, plus black diamond studs.
Gold: 14K on most pairs, then 18K, and a few .925 silver; most listings offer yellow, white and rose gold.
Setting: prong-set on most.
Some pairs are made after you order; ask the desk for the timing on yours.

Is the carat weight per ear or for the pair?

Lab-grown or natural diamond studs?

Both are real diamonds; a lab-grown diamond is grown in a lab instead of mined. “Choose lab-grown if you want the look.
