Item #69820
About this item
- .925 Silver.
- Hollow build, 27 grams at 24 inches. The links are formed around an empty center: lighter on the neck and less costly than a solid chain of the same width. Treat it with care; a hollow chain can kink if it is yanked.
- 4.5 mm wide. Wear it on its own or with a pendant; text a jeweler a photo of the pendant and they will say straight whether this chain carries it.
- Two lengths: 22 and 24 inches. The length guide photo in the gallery (picture 7) shows where a franco chain sits. Not sure which one? Ask in the chat on this page, or call or text 212-872-9692 (a person answers from 10 AM ET).
- Listed for men and women. Sold and shipped by TraxNYC, 64 W 47th St, New York, in business since 2004. Secondhand Dealer License 2123575-DCWP.

Description
Silver, 4.5 mm and hollow: a Franco link chain in .925 silver, with a listed weight of 26 grams. Hollow links give you the width of a bigger chain with less metal around the neck. Two lengths are offered, 22 inches and 24 inches, the 24 hanging a little lower on the chest. Every package ships insured from our counter on 47th Street in New York's Diamond District.
Questions & answers
Is this your best price?
The price on this page is the price of the piece. Have a number in mind? Tap Make an offer and send it; the desk answers with what it can do. Paying by bank wire takes 3% off.
Which length should I get?
Every length is its own choice with its own price and weight: tap one above to see both. Not sure which one? Tell a jeweler your height and build: Ask in the chat on this page, or call or text 212-872-9692 (a person answers from 10 AM ET).
Does it come thicker?
This chain is 4.5 mm wide. Where the store has the next width up, the solid version or the same chain in another karat, they show under Compare with similar items on this page. A width we do not list is a custom order: Ask in the chat on this page, or call or text 212-872-9692 (a person answers from 10 AM ET).
What does it weigh?
27 grams at 24 inches; tap another length to see its weight. The final weight may vary slightly.
Why does it cost more than the silver? What is my trade-in worth?
You are buying the finished piece, not the metal: the silver, the labor that made it; every package also travels insured. We do not price by the gram. Have a number? Tap Make an offer. Trading in or selling silver is done in person at the counter or by phone with a jeweler, never with a number online.
Can I make payments? Do you still do layaway?
Layaway ended on January 1, 2026. To pay over time, choose Affirm at checkout: Affirm decides who qualifies and sets the terms. You can also pay with Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal or a card, by bank wire (3% off), or in crypto: Ask in the chat on this page, or call or text 212-872-9692 (a person answers from 10 AM ET).
Can I hang a pendant on a 4.5 mm hollow chain?
A small, light pendant, yes. Skip heavy pieces on a hollow chain: a hard pull can kink a hollow link, and a kinked hollow link is harder to repair than a solid one. Send a jeweler a photo of the pendant and they will say straight whether this chain carries it: Ask in the chat on this page, or call or text 212-872-9692 (a person answers from 10 AM ET). The pendant under "Pair it with a pendant" goes into the cart with this chain in one tap.
What metal is it, and is hollow gold real gold?
.925 Silver. Build: hollow, as the name says. Hollow links are formed around an empty center, so they weigh less and cost less than solid links of the same width; hollow describes the shape, not the metal.
How fast does it ship, and can I return it?
Every order ships insured from 47th Street. Made or sourced to order: usually ships in 2 to 5 business days.
Returns: 14 calendar days from confirmed delivery, new and unworn, in the original packaging, on a label TraxNYC issues; an approved return carries a 5% restocking fee and $50 return shipping in the continental US ($100 international), and the original shipping is not refunded.
