About this item
- Solid 10K yellow gold, light links. 10 karat is 41.7% pure gold mixed with harder metals, so it stands up to daily wear better than higher karats; nothing is plated, so nothing wears off. A certified appraisal comes in the box.
- Light links, 2.8 grams. Lighter on the neck and less costly than a solid-link chain of the same width. Treat it with care; a light-link chain can kink if it is yanked.
- 2.4 mm wide. Wear it on its own or with a pendant; text a jeweler a photo of the pendant and they will say straight whether this chain carries it.
- Listed for men and women. Sold and shipped by TraxNYC, 64 W 47th St, New York, in business since 2004. Secondhand Dealer License 2123575-DCWP.

Description
A thin light-link curb chain in solid 10K yellow gold, 2.4 mm wide, 22 inches long and 2.80 grams. Light links keep it very light, which suits a small pendant; they also dent more easily than heavier links, so do not hang anything heavy from it. It comes in yellow gold. Every package ships insured from our store on 47th Street in New York's Diamond District.
Questions & answers
Is this your best price?
The price on this page is the price of the piece. Have a number in mind? Tap Make an offer and send it; the desk answers with what it can do. Paying by bank wire takes 3% off.
Is it solid gold?
Yes. This chain is solid 10K gold, never plated or filled. It has light links: each link is hollow inside, so it weighs less and costs less than a solid-link chain of the same width.
Does it come thicker?
This chain is 2.4 mm wide. Where the store has the next width up, the solid-link version or the same chain in another karat, they show under Compare with similar items on this page. A width we do not list is a custom order: Ask in the chat on this page, or call or text 212-872-9692 (a person answers from 10 AM ET).
What does it weigh?
2.8 grams. The final weight may vary slightly. The store's appraisal states the gram weight.
Why does it cost more than the gold? What is my trade-in worth?
You are buying the finished piece, not the metal: the gold, the labor that made it and the store's appraisal; every package also travels covered until delivered. We do not price by the gram. Have a number? Tap Make an offer. Trading in or selling gold is done in person at the store or by phone with a jeweler, never with a number online.
Can I make payments? Do you still do layaway?
Layaway ended on January 1, 2026. To pay over time, choose Affirm at checkout: Affirm decides who qualifies and sets the terms. You can also pay with Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal or a card, by bank wire (3% off), or in crypto: Ask in the chat on this page, or call or text 212-872-9692 (a person answers from 10 AM ET).
Can I hang a pendant on a 2.4 mm light-link chain?
A small, light pendant, yes. Skip heavy pieces on a light-link chain: a hard pull can kink a link, and a kinked link is harder to repair than a solid one. Send a jeweler a photo of the pendant and they will say straight whether this chain carries it: Ask in the chat on this page, or call or text 212-872-9692 (a person answers from 10 AM ET). The pendant under "Pair it with a pendant" goes into the cart with this chain in one tap.
What metal is it?
Solid 10K yellow gold: 10 karat is 41.7% pure gold, alloyed with harder metals for strength. Nothing is plated, so nothing wears off. Build: light links.
Does it come with an appraisal or a certificate?
Every gold order ships with the store's appraisal: carat and gram weights, diamond grade and color, market value and the corporate seal. International orders get a digital appraisal.
How fast does it ship, and can I return it?
Every order ships from 47th Street, tracked and covered until delivered. Made or sourced to order: usually ships in 2 to 5 business days.
Returns: 14 calendar days from confirmed delivery, new and unworn, in the original packaging, on a label TraxNYC issues; an approved return carries a 5% restocking fee and $50 return shipping in the continental US ($100 international), and the original shipping is not refunded.
