What size initial necklace should I get?
Small, for every day. Here 58 of the 98 pieces sold were an inch tall or less, and most weighed 2.6 grams or less. A mini of about 7 mm reads up close; a 1.5-inch letter is easy to make out on the chest.
Does an initial necklace come with a chain?
Six here do: four small pieces on a cable chain, the diamond letter set on an 18-inch chain, and the bezel letter. The other 48 are the letter alone, and none of their descriptions says a chain is included, so plan one.
What chain length is best for an initial necklace?
18 inches, which lays the letter on the collarbone; three of the six chained pieces come at 18. Take 16 to keep a mini close at the neck's base. The pavé mini and the bezel letter offer 18, 20, 22 or 24.

Is a gold initial necklace real gold?
Yes. By its metal field every piece here is gold: 47 in 14K, which is 58.3 percent gold, and 7 in 10K, which is 41.7. No title says plated, filled or hollow. An order shipped in the US includes our appraisal, which records the grams.
Are the diamonds on an initial necklace real, natural or lab-grown?
Yes. Of the 44 diamond letters, 42 are listed as natural, one as lab-grown, and one gives no origin. The carat weight prints on 43 of them, and our appraisal records it; for an order shipped abroad, the appraisal is digital.
Can I get any letter of the alphabet?
On two pieces, all 26: the mini letter and the letter and heart, in yellow, white or rose. The baguette letter lacks A, M and X; the small diamond one leaves out C, L, S and V. For another, ask the live chat, or text 212-872-9692 from 10 AM ET.
How long does a custom initial necklace take?
10 to 15 business days when it is made to order, inside the 2 to 3 weeks of production our terms allow. From stock it usually goes out in 2 to 5 business days. Ask the desk whether yours is on hand.
Can I return an initial necklace?
Yes, unworn and unaltered, inside 14 days of delivery, returned on our insured label; 5 percent restocking and the return shipping come out of the refund. A letter made to order for you is final, as is any listing marked non-returnable (refund policy).
