Which size?

Find your ring size in a minute

1. Set the screen with a card

Lay any bank, debit or ID card flat on the screen, standing tall, so its short edge runs across the box, and move the slider until the box is exactly as wide as the card. No bank card? Description

Five carats of lab-grown oval diamond, F color and VS1 clarity, set in 14K gold with 0.80 carats of pear-cut side diamonds. An oval is faceted like a round brilliant but drawn out long, so it lies along the finger, and the pears beside it are round at one end and pointed at the other.

The details. The center is a lab-grown oval of 5.00 carats. F color is in the colorless range, two steps below the top of the scale, and VS1 clarity means inclusions small enough to need magnification. The side diamonds are lab-grown pears, E/F in color and VVS/VS in clarity, so they match the center closely. All the stones are held in prongs, and the ring is 14K gold at 5.30 grams.

Size and fit. It is offered in yellow, white or rose gold, in ring sizes 4 through 9 with the half sizes. A center of this size will catch on knitwear and gloves now and then; turning the stone toward the palm when you pull gloves on saves the prongs.

Care. Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush under the center, where lotion collects and dulls a large stone first; lab-grown and natural diamonds take the same care. Keep it away from chlorine and harsh cleaners, store it apart from other jewelry, and have the prongs looked at from time to time.
