What chain should I wear with a pendant?
A link that hangs straight: Franco, rope, box, wheat or Cuban; a Figaro or a thin cable for a light pendant. Match the chain's width to the pendant's bail and its weight to the pendant's grams; 30 grams and up wants a solid chain. How big should a men's pendant be?
The everyday men's pendant is 30 to 40 mm wide; of the listings that state a size, the middle width is 32 mm and the middle height 51 mm. That is about an inch and a quarter across and about two inches top to bottom. Under 20 mm is small. A piece 50 mm and up is worn over the shirt; about a third of those that state a width are 40 mm or wider. The listing carries width and length; hold a ruler to your chest.
How much should a men's gold pendant cost?

How do I know a pendant's bail will clear my chain?
The bail's opening must clear your link, so a 6 mm Cuban needs a bail that clears more than 6 mm. The bail is the loop the chain runs through; unless hinged, your clasp must pass through too. Jesus piece or cross?
Jesus pieces sold most by the piece here in the year, crucifixes titled Jesus counted with them. Crosses carried the most money, 26 percent; both are pieces of faith. A Jesus piece is the head of Christ, most often in the crown of thorns; a crucifix is a cross carrying the figure of Christ; a plain cross has none. A 14K cross runs about 9.4 grams, a Jesus piece about 32.8, so the Jesus piece wants the stronger chain.
What is a pendant set?
A pendant and its chain sold as one listing, about one in eleven here. It gives you a chain that fits the bail on day one, where a pendant alone is for the chain you already wear. The pendant sets collection gathers them, in 18, 20, 22 or 24 inches. Sets were about two in five of the pendant pieces sold here in the year.
